No. 18
self portrait :)

No. 19
I took this photo in this month I love it because it is a beautiful sunset, but unfortunaly it is being caused by NMs largest wildfire  in history, the Whitewater-Baldy fire, which is 105 mile from my home.  It is where we go hunting, camping or just for a drive.  I hope my fellow New Mexicans can recover from the devastation this fire has caused.

No. 20 little things

I love cakes with tiny sprinkles.  I made this cake for my nephew to do a little smash cake photo shoot.

#13 animal

This is my fourth son,"fishy boy" with our Australian terrier, Bella, she passed away about a year ago.  We really miss her.

#14 sweet tooth
This is my oldest son "bubba" celebrating his 14th birthday party with a homemade chocolate/coffee cake.

#15 diptych

I saw this truck, original color is canary yellow, parked outside a local convenience store while me and my husband were out paying some bills, or giving away our money like he likes to say.

#16 your pick
I love this place, it is Our Lady of Guadalupe Monastary, in Pinos Altos, NM.  We were there because my husband was given the honor of being a sponsor for a Confirmation student.  I've lived in SW NM all my life and that was the first time I had ever been there.  BEAUTIFUL, PEACEFUL, and SERENE!

#17 feet

I took this photo on July 4th, 2011.

Airing the dirty laundry....

Today I was also able to make my second batch of
homemade laundry soap that I found on, yup you guessed it pinterest, so i "followed that pin" and it brought me to http://thewhitesilkpurse.blogspot.com .  I was so surprised at how easy it was and how pretty too.  My first batch was made with Fels Naptha but today i made it with Zote, the big pink soap  bar in the laundry section of any grocery store.  Making my own soap has saved me a lot of money so far and i haven't bought laundry soap since April!!!!

Ahhhh Summer!!!

Well, it's summer and that means our days are longer and our wallets a little lighter.  Now that all the kids are home from school, I can no longer depend on school lunches to feed these growing boys of mine, they are happy about that, but it does require a little more budgeting on my part, which isn't all bad because it does give me a chance to  try out some new recipes (now that all the guinea pigs are home).  Today I'm making, for the very first time,  pita bread and homemade hummus (wish me luck) and  like I say it if they are hungry they will eat it.  I found the recipes for the hummus and pita bread on pinterest so i followed that pin Right to http://www.underthehighchair.comI am a a very visual person so i love how pinterest is bringing me to these awesome blogs with amazing recipes, with no words, only pictures.

Speaking of food....

I just had to post this photo of some cupcakes me and a few of my kiddos made yesterday.  They were made from scratch, and the frosting wasn't from a can, for the first time ever!!! I really liked them and they were easier then I expected, a little messy with a 5 and 3 year old helping but MMmmmm the were delish.
I used the recipe from Glorious Treats, I didn't have any cake flour so I just used plain ol' all purpose flour and they were amazing so I can imagine how good they would be if made with cake flour.  And I used just a basic butter cream frosting and of course can't forget the sprinkles.

No. 11 & 12

No. 11 zoom while shooting
I had no idea how to do this so honestly I had to google it :)  I decided to post two of the many that I took. The first one was outside of some trees growing out by the road and the second one is of some floral scrap fabric I found in my stash. I really liked this technique and will definitely use it again, with my tripod though, of course.

No.  12 below the surface
Well I was trying to take a picture of dinner last night, and it's not as easy as it seems.  I didn't think about the steam at all and to top it off I was terrified of dropping my camera in the pot of boiling water so this is the best I could do for a "below the surface" photo. It is actually just spaghetti poked through some chunks of hot dog and boiled as you usually do, my kids are always fascinated by it and it makes the "question of the day," How did mom get the spaghetti in the hot dog?

No. 7, 8, 9, &10

Here I am late again.  I think it just might be easier if I stop worrying about posting daily, and try to at least post  weekly........
No. 7 Detail

Here is a picture I took of a willow tree bark from my backyard, It is really not that of an impressive tree, but I think this is an awesome picture.

No.8 create
I'm not a fan of my picture for create I know I could have came up with a way better idea.  I wish I had a little more confidence in showing my artistic side :/ but anyway, this is a tutu I made created for my daughter to wear to the July 4th parade this year.

No. 9  a day in the life

COFFEE, is about the only thing that is consistent and a daily ritual for me, along with the 5:15am wake up call on weekdays.  I know that is early and considering I go to bed after 10pm or later everyday I too am shocked I am able to function, if that's what I do. :)
Yeah I NEED my coffee, everyday, every morning!!

No. 10 Yesterday

And here is my yesterday!!! Yeah I know handsome huh?  We spent our Sunday evening at my sisters house eating yummy kabobs.  This is my handsome great nephew on his swing at his meemaws.  This boy is soooo photogenic, I love him to pieces!!
